Plastic packaging is a dirty, expensive, possibly carcinogenic, profligate use of the worlds resources resulting in a revolting scurf of permanent, non-biodegradable debris. My personal solution is to boycott plastic nastiness and each month I will ban a piece of plastic from my life. This is my 12 step programme for cleaner world.

Huddersfield Council have agreed that plastic carrier bags are nasty and are going to look at ways to get rid of the beastly things. easier said than done so to stiffen their resolve and show how much you support them sign the on line petition.

I'll do that! It's good to see some councils starting to do this. It may be slow now but I believe that it won't be too long before it really takes off.
