Plastic packaging is a dirty, expensive, possibly carcinogenic, profligate use of the worlds resources resulting in a revolting scurf of permanent, non-biodegradable debris. My personal solution is to boycott plastic nastiness and each month I will ban a piece of plastic from my life. This is my 12 step programme for cleaner world.

Are Burt's Bees products sold where you live? They make a rosemary/mint shampoo bar packaged in a cardboard box that smells really great.
Also, many people recommend washing hair with baking soda, too. Haven't tried it yet, but I might.
