And milkmen don't only delivery milk, but juice too (in bottles) saving lots of tetra packs.

The only trouble we have is that milk only comes in pint containers so when it arrives it uses up all the space.

BUT STILL WE LOVE OUR NEW MILK DELIVERY!

Hooray for milkmen and women. They are doing sterling work and ought to be celebrated.

a pet subject of mine ...the equation is quite simple

more deliveries + more milkmen/women + more electric delivery vehicles = less polution and CO2, more employment, and more community spirit.

Why thank you, I try my best, may not be the grrenest of Bears but hey the colours red, but why o why do people not see how simple it was, is and can return to being? progress isnt about moving forward its about doing whats right and if we were doing it right then lets return to what we did.

Green may well not be your primary colour but then I wouldnt say it was mine either.

I just hate plastic and litter.

I recon crapping in your own back yard, the stupidity thereof, is a matter for bears of all shades who, after all, know best and do it in the biodegradable woods.

Just wondering... do your glass milk containers come with plastic caps? Here in Oakland, CA, I buy Straus organic milk in refillable glass bottles. It's not delivered by a milkman. Not to my house, anyway. But it's the same concept. The problem is that the bottles still have plastic caps, and there doesn't seem to be any other alternative. Just wondering if they are packaged differently in England.

Nope we have foil tops which we save and recycle. In the old days we used to give them to the blind dogs fund. I wonder if we can still do that.
